Welcome to The Morning Sh*t! Forget Greenwich, this morning was the real Mean Time.
1 st Wipe : After years of going upmarket in the US (and failing), then years of going downmarket (and failing), then years of building cheating Diesels (and…succeeding), VW is once again trying to make its cars cheaper to attract a wider audience. All aboard the Crazy Train, we’re heading east.
2 nd Wipe : The Tesla factory was idled for a few days in February, leading analysts to speculate the Model S Shrink Ray might be malfunctioning.
3 rd Wipe : The new Honda Accord is pretty great, but isn’t selling well because Honda still trying to convince people that a midsize sedan is just like a crossover, but smaller, lower to the ground, and has half of the back end chopped off.
4 th Wipe : Volvo, Mercedes, and BMW join virtually every other company in trying to explain that metal tariffs will mean fewer US jobs and lower investment. Maybe we should arm their US employees to prevent this.
5 th Wipe : There is a limited-production, defective, top-heavy pink Hot Wheels microbus from 1969 that could be worth over $100k. If you have one, you’re gonna flip.
Flush : Today in 1921, the man responsible for making Fiat a household name to mechanics around the world, was born.

Steel tariffs would mean an increased taxpayer burden when we arm every teacher in America. Or are the teachers expected to buy their own supplies?

They will either have to buy their own or they will be supplied with the lowest cost option probably a .38. The bullets will also be chosen based on cost .22 bullets to go with the .38 pistol.

‘Merican steel, as GOD intended.
Seriously, though, I bet most steel used in domestically-produced firearms is domestically sourced. Gun makers and buyers are kind of fiercely American, so it might come out if they were importing huge rolls of commie steel.

I wouldn’t be shocked to find out that the most ‘Merican gun makers use nothing but the cheapest imported steel and outsource the majority of their component manufacturing overseas, but assemble the final product in the US so they can call it “American Made.”

We’re barely #4 in the world for production, almost tied with #3. Between that and the employees probably mentioning it, I’d bet that I’m right.
They also have to use material of reliable quality, otherwise their products would be dangerous.
